Lisa and I decided to distribute the books to the staff at our June staff meeting. Each staff member received a copy of a resource that was relevant to the grade that they are teaching next year. To the staff that won't be returning to George Webster in September, those teachers also received a copy of a resource to be used at their respective schools.
To build teacher understanding of the mental health issues present in the George Webster community and teacher awareness of resources and strategies available in order to compassionately interact with students and parents.

Co-Teaching with Tahia
I had the opportunity to co-teach a lesson (the first Relationship lesson in the Junior Unit to be precise using Zero by Kathryn Otoshi) with Tahia Bakir. We had a double period for the lesson, which was a bit long. The students responded brilliantly. They were engaged and into the discussion the whole time.
It was a wonderful opportunity to share our work.
